πŸš€Getting StartedDiscover β†’ understand β†’ research β†’ shortlist β†’ decide

Start by choosing the competitions you want to follow. Goal Predictor then discovers available fixtures, analyses them when enough information is available, and shows the resulting market confidence and grades in Fixtures.

πŸ—‚οΈChoosing LeaguesControl which competitions feed your fixture experience

Choosing your leagues

The leagues selected within Goal Predictor determine which competitions feed fixture discovery and daily analysis. Selecting a league is not simply a display filter.

Selected LeaguesCompetitions you have chosen to include in daily fixture analysis.
Hot LeaguesCompetitions Goal Predictor currently identifies as particularly interesting based on goal activity and model performance.
Additional LeaguesCompetitions you manually choose through the league catalogue.
International CompetitionsInternational competitions are handled in the same way where they are available.

RESULTPredicted match result

Each market can receive its own percentage and grade. The percentage is the strength of Goal Predictor's evidence for that market.

ExampleOver 2.5 Β· 84% Β· A+

Read this as model confidence / prediction strength for Over 2.5. It does not mean the result is guaranteed or that there is a guaranteed 84% chance of winning.

Useful terms are model confidence, prediction strength and supporting evidence.

πŸ…Understanding GradesHigher grades mean stronger model support

The grade bands below come directly from the live Goal Predictor grade configuration, so the guide stays aligned with the application.

ELITE85%+

The strongest opportunities identified by Goal Predictor.

A+78%–84.9%

Very strong supporting evidence.

A70%–77.9%

Strong indicators are present, with more uncertainty than A+ or Elite.

B+65%–69.9%

Positive signals are present, but the fixture needs greater caution and additional research.

REJECTBelow graded selection bands

Below the current graded selection bands. Use Match Detail rather than treating it as a recommended opportunity.

Higher grades indicate stronger model support. No grade guarantees a result.

What does β˜… BEST mean?

BEST identifies the strongest-rated market on that individual fixture. If O1.5 is 98%, O2.5 is 86% and O3.5 is 72%, BEST may appear beside O1.5. It does not mean every market has the same confidence.

πŸ•ΈοΈReading the RadarCompare how the two team profiles interact

Reading the Match Radar

The radar compares the characteristics of the two teams. Use the shape to understand whether the selected market has a believable route or whether important evidence conflicts with it.

StrengthThe overall strength of the team profile.
AttackingThe team's attacking strength and ability to create scoring opportunities.
DefensiveHow strong or vulnerable the team's defensive profile appears.
WinsHow strongly recent and season results support a winning profile.
DrawsHow much the team's results show a tendency toward drawn matches.
LossesHow frequently the team profile shows defeat or vulnerability.
Goals ForHow strongly the team's scoring profile supports goals.
Goals AgainstHow much the team's defensive record suggests opportunities for the opponent.

What should I look for?

For goals markets, pay particular attention to Goals For, Goals Against, attacking strength, defensive vulnerability, contribution from both teams and whether one dominant team can provide the goals itself.

Balanced goals routeBoth teams can contribute.2–1 Β· 1–2 Β· 2–2
Dominant team routeOne strong attacking side may create most of the required goals.3–0 Β· 3–1 Β· 0–3 Β· 1–3
For Over 2.5, ask:Where is the third goal likely to come from?
🚦Radar IndicatorsKnow which signals support goals and which need caution

Which radar indicators are good signals for goals?

Use radar indicators as confirmation of the market grade, not as a separate prediction. The strongest setup is when the grade, radar signal and believable scoring route all point in the same direction.

πŸ”₯
Strong positive signalsGood reasons to investigate a goals selection
Strong Goals Signal

The clearest general goals indicator. Multiple goals characteristics support the fixture and it deserves closer attention.

Goals Positive

A positive combined shape with a credible scoring route. Stronger when the market grade also supports the same goal line.

High Attacking

Attacking strength is a major feature of the matchup. Check whether the opponent's Goals Against / defensive profile gives that attack a route to goals.

BTTS Positive

The most useful radar indicator when researching BTTS because both teams show independent scoring routes.

🎯
Context-dependent signalsUseful, but check the route before deciding
One-Sided / Imbalanced

Can still be good for goals if the stronger side has enough attacking depth to create a 3–0 or 3–1 route. Do not assume one-sided automatically means low goals.

Neutral / Mixed Radar

No clear radar advantage. Let the market grade and Match Detail carry more weight rather than treating the radar as confirmation.

⚠️
Caution / lower-goal signalsReasons to research further before backing higher goal lines
Goals Caution

Conflicting evidence is present. Review the goal route carefully before treating a high percentage as a straightforward goals selection.

Defensive / Low-Goals Risk

A stronger warning for higher goal lines. Good defence, weak attack or both can make O2.5/O3.5 less convincing even when another signal looks positive.

A strong goals combinationHigh market grade + Strong Goals Signal / Goals Positive + a believable route to the required number of goals + no major defensive or league-environment contradiction.

Read the signal for the market you are considering

O1.5Look for a believable route to two goals. Strong Goals Signal, Goals Positive or High Attacking can be useful even if only one team is expected to dominate.
O2.5Look for the clearest route to a third goal. Strong Goals Signal is the best general confirmation; Goals Positive and High Attacking become stronger when Goals For / Goals Against and the third-goal route also agree.
O3.5Demand more evidence. A strong O2.5 radar does not automatically support four goals, so check whether both teams can contribute or one side has genuine four-goal depth.
BTTSBTTS Positive is the most directly relevant signal. A Strong Goals Signal can still come from a one-sided 3–0 route, so confirm that both teams have independent scoring routes.
League Goal Risk is separate from the radar.

If ⚠️ League Goal Risk or 🚨 Strong League Conflict appears, the fixture-level prediction remains unchanged, but the competition's recent scoring environment is contradicting that market. Treat it as additional caution rather than an automatic rejection.

Indicator reference

These definitions come from the same central public radar-status definitions used by live Goal Predictor fixture cards.

Strong Goals Signal

Strong attacking and goals characteristics support a goals opportunity.

One-Sided / Imbalanced

One team provides substantially more attacking strength than the other. This is not automatically negative: a sufficiently strong favourite may still provide a viable goals route.

Goals Caution

The radar contains conflicting, weaker or potentially risky goals characteristics. Review Match Detail before making a decision.

Defensive / Low-Goals Risk

Strong defensive characteristics or weak attacking evidence may reduce confidence in higher goals markets.

High Attacking

The attacking profile is a prominent positive feature of the matchup and supports further goals research.

Goals Positive

The combined radar shape contains positive goals characteristics and a credible scoring route.

BTTS Positive

Both teams show credible independent scoring routes. This supports BTTS research but does not guarantee both teams will score.

Neutral / Mixed Radar

The radar does not show a sufficiently clear positive or negative goals shape. Treat the matchup as mixed evidence.

Radar analysis pending

Goal Predictor is waiting for a current radar analysis before presenting a public status.

πŸ”ŽResearching a MatchUse Match Detail to understand why

Prediction grades help you find opportunities. Match Detail helps you understand why the fixture has received that prediction.

Attacking profile
  • Scoring strength and goals scored
  • Attacking indicators
  • Can both teams contribute?
  • Can one team dominate?
Defensive profile
  • Goals conceded
  • Defensive weakness
  • Does either side regularly allow goals?
  • Does strong defence conflict with the goals selection?
Third-goal route

For O2.5 ask: Where does the third goal come from? If a realistic route is difficult to identify, treat the selection with greater caution.

Market progression

Compare O1.5 β†’ O2.5 β†’ O3.5. A pattern such as 97% β†’ 84% β†’ 66% suggests very strong support for two goals, good support for three, and much weaker support for four.

BTTS comparison

Strong O2.5 does not automatically mean BTTS is strong. A dominant-team 3–0 route can support O2.5 while producing weaker BTTS evidence.

Result comparison

A strong Result prediction can help show whether the likely goals route is balanced or dominated by one side.

USE THE WHOLE PICTURE
GRADE+RADAR+INDICATORS+MATCH DETAIL=BETTER-INFORMED DECISION

A high grade is useful, but the strongest analysis comes from combining the prediction grade with the radar shape, radar indicators and detailed match information.
